Where Courtready uses artificial intelligence, and where it does not.

At Courtready, we use artificial intelligence in a few places:

• as an assistant when writing the code behind our website and tools;
• when creating videos for Courtready Academy; and
• in some of our tools, to suggest possible matches between what you type and the rule, record, agreement or location you may be looking for. You choose which result applies.

Our tools do not use AI to determine an answer or output. The calculators, maps, and databases on Courtready.ca are deterministic. The calculation, deadline, or determination is produced by a fixed, published formula, or by returning the data we mapped, so for a given rule and given facts the result is always the same, is computed the same way every time, and can be traced back to the rule, rate, or guideline it comes from. The same is true of CaseCheck, which extracts and verifies citations without using a large language model.
